5 Tips for Mastering Social Media
As a success coach, I believe that once you have learned the 5 Tips for Mastering Social Media, you can create a masterpiece digital footprint that will attract the audience you want, so that you can sell your products and services. Ultimately, once you are connected with your audience and they know, like and trust you, guess what they do? Share! Share! Share!
While coaching entrepreneurs, especially those who want to use social media as a tool to start, grow or expand their business footprint, I always recommends the below 5 Tips for Mastering Social Media:
1. Know your brand values and stick to them. You can share all kinds of information on social media as long as it appeals to your target audience. People will pay attention to you and want to share your stuff if they can trust that you will give them useful information and resources on a consistent basis. If you divert from this, it will turn them off or confuse them and they will find someone else who they can know, like and trust.
2. Use a variety of content types. Remember your college days whereby certain students were auditory learners, others were more visual learners and others were kinesthetic learners. Well, people prefer to consume content through social media in different ways as well. So, make sure that you are updating your Facebook fan page with photos, videos, blog posts and podcasts — vary the medium.
Most importantly, don’t make it all about you. Share your blog posts, photos, videos and Internet radio shows with your audience who share your same core values. Share good content from people who share your stuff too. Remember, you are the programming executive who gets to program from any channel as long as it aligns with the personal values of your target demographic.
3. Have an intelligent social strategy. All this content and stuff that you produce and deliver is super fun and entertaining — but what is your ultimate goal or intention? Do you want to sell more stuff? Are you looking to increase your visibility to get more media attention? Do you want more social proof that you are awesome, so people will hire you? Do you want to connect with more high-level influencers, so you get hired to speak more? What is it that you really want?
Sure, it’s fun to chat with people on social media and get ‘likes’, but WHY do you want this attention? What is the goal of your social media marketing? Think about this with every tweet and update you send. Will it bring you closer to a goal?
4. Know what makes you unique and embrace that on social media. People want something new and fresh to help them to feel inspired and energized. Everything from your profile pictures, to your bio, to how you interact with your followers will help your audience to connect with you. But, make sure there is something about you and your content that is different. Be sure to highlight this.
It is always important to watch what others are doing and make sure you are keeping up with social media trends. Some people believe that the best way to learn and evolve is to copy other people. Don’t you think that it is better to be a first-rate version of yourself than a second-rate version of someone else?
Just remember: Whatever that thing is that sets you apart from others in ‘real life’ — is the same thing that will make you stand out in social media. It’s your secret ‘sauce’, it is your big ‘WHY’, or it is your ‘within’ or what keeps you ‘on purpose’.
5. Relax and have fun on social media. Make sure that you are getting out and enjoying life in the real world as much as you are engaging online. Providing good content is also about socializing and having conversations. Reach out and tell people how much you appreciate them. Share their content and put the spotlight on them. Practice smiling, laughing and being you both on- and off-line. If you do this, people will be sharing your stuff more and more every day.
Your digital footprint may be permanent, but every moment on social media is new. Every social media moment is a chance to be a better you and to make the world a better place.

5 Tips to Intensify Clarity and Confidence
I enjoy coaching entrepreneurs and as a success coach, I believe that clarity and confidence are two of the traits needed to become a successful woman business owner. Below are the 5 Tips to Intensify Clarity and Confidence for women business owners.
Tip #1. If you have started or plan to start a passion-based lifestyle business, make sure that your personal values are reflected in your brand, products or services, marketplace positioning, team management and business systems.
Be sure that you know what your top 5 personal values are and use them as a tool to measure whether or not your business is on track. For instance, if connections or relationships are two of your top personal values then they should be accurately represented in your business model or you may not attract clients that match your vision.
Tip #2. Keep tabs on your personal (intentions) goals and make sure that the business you create allows you to achieve them. Write down your personal short-, mid- and long-term goals and create task lists that will allow you to achieve them.
At least once a month, review your task lists to see if you need to make adjustments or if you are closer than you think to that trip to the Hawaiian Islands. Remember, your business is a major part of your life. It is important to know that you are on track to achieve both personal and professional success – this will allow you to enjoy the journey.
Tip #3. Start looking for the gaps in your systems. Businesses can seem like they are running themselves if we don’t take control of every aspect of them. From client attraction, client engagement, client services and client retention, women business owners and entrepreneurs must think of the experience they want their clients to feel and then create every detail according to those top 5 personal values.
Once you put your systems in place, you will be able to see with absolute clarity when and where the gaps appear so you can make corrections and get back on track.
Tip #4. Manage your team with care and respect and they will watch your back. Putting simple systems in place that ensure a healthy level of communication, support and community will relieve pressure on you and make everyone else feel empowered.
It is best to have a schedule for weekly team phone meetings, where you discuss any action items, progress reports and feedback. Remember, when you build a team that shares your values and vision and you then empower them to utilize their greatest skills and talents, you have created fertile ground for planting, growth and success for everyone involved.
Tip #5. On a weekly basis, make a commitment to tap into what inspires you! The most successful entrepreneurs are extremely disciplined, but what they include in their rigorous schedules is a space of creativity. Whether its exercise, meditation or reading that inspires you — start including it in your daily routine.
Try this: make a list of 5 things that inspire you and make room for them on your calendar. By regularly seeking out that which inspires you, your level of creativity will go through the roof while your level of stress and overwhelm will fade away.

How Do I Get People To Do What They Are Suppose To Do?
As a Positioning, Success and Business Growth Coach, executives and business leaders often ask: “How Do I Get People To Do What They Are Support to Do?” Below is an excellent video by Jeb Blount, author of People Follow You. He provides the 5 levers of leadership to ‘get people to do what they are support to do’.
What do you think about these 5 levers to get people to do what they are suppose to do?
I have learned in my thirteen years, as a coach is that “people will do what you want when you give them what they want”.

The Formula: 4 Steps to Closing More Sales – Even If You Hate Selling
You may want to watch the video on the previous blog entitled: Turning a ‘No’ Into ‘Yes’, by Andrea Waltz who is a practical marketing expert and business lifestyle architect, before reading this post.
Now that you have watched this video in the previous post, below is Stacy Karacostas’ formula for closing more sales. I really like this formula on the 4 Steps to Closing More Sales – Even If You Hate Selling because the steps are practical and they work:
Step #1: Forget About You and Focus On Them
Get to know your prospect by asking questions and listening much more than you talk. Find out what they do, what their goals are and why they haven’t been able to reach them yet. Try to uncover their biggest problems and desires and what they think they need.
Step #2: Problems, Solutions and Benefits
Once you understand the customer’s problems, wants and needs — simply explain how you can help. Ideally give examples of how you’ve helped other customers with similar problems. Use stats and specific numbers whenever possible when discussing results (e.g., “In 3 months I was able to help so-and-so double their revenues.”).
Remember, it’s still not about you and what you do or sell…it’s about them and what they need. So focus on results and benefits more than processes. Prospects must understand what’s in it for them or they aren’t going to buy.
Step #3: Check In
Let them know what you believe you can do for them. Then ask, “If I could do ‘X’ for you, would that solve your problems or help you achieve your goals?”
If they say ‘yes’, you’re one giant step closer to making the sale. Now move on to Step #4.
If they say ‘no’, you need to find out why. Chances are you either misunderstood their wants, needs or goals, or they didn’t share a critical piece of information. So return to Step #1, ask more questions and then go through these steps again.
Step #4: Use the Assumptive Close
Once you have offered a solution they agree will help them reach their goals, it’s safe to assume they want to move forward. Who wouldn’t, right?
So don’t ask if they want to hire you or buy now. Tell them what happens next (e.g., “Great! I’m looking forward to helping you with ‘X’. I will send you a proposal or contract tomorrow and we can get started. Why don’t we go ahead and schedule our next meeting now. What days are best for you?”). Then make it happen. Voila! Sale closed.
Stacy concluded by stating: “Keep in mind; you won’t always catch a fish on the first cast, sometimes it’s going take more than one meeting or contact to make the sale – especially if what you’re selling is high priced.
So be sure you have a solid process for following up — a thank you card, phone calls, and helpful information (NOT just sales pieces) via email and in print. Then, each time you speak with them, follow this simple process until you’ve closed the deal”.
